Special Council

That the agenda dated August 12, 2024 be adopted as presented.

THAT Council receive report BP-32-24 dated August 12, 2024 as information; AND THAT staff continue to review and, where appropriate, incorporate the comments received into the draft Official Plan and return the final proposed Official Plan to Committee of the Whole for discussion.

THAT Report BP-35-24 be received; AND THAT the planning fees bylaw be presented for Council consideration at the September 23, 2024 Council meeting.

THAT Council goes into Closed Session at 10.35 a.m. to discuss information explicitly supplied in confidence to the municipality or local board by Canada, a province or territory or a Crown agency of any of them in accordance with Section 239(2)(h) of the Municipal Act, 2001.

THAT Council Rise and Report from Closed Session at 10:52 am

THAT we received a verbal update with respect to Environmental Assessment sewage process.

THAT we enter into Committee of the Whole

THAT we resume from Committee of the Whole back into the Special Council meeting of August 12, 2024.

THAT Committee of the Whole Report dated August 12 as presented at the Special Council meeting dated August 12 regarding the Bayshore Village Wastewater Effluent Hauling Tender Award Report, Effluent Haulage - Business Case - Purchase of Equipment Report, and Bayshore Village Effluent Spray Irrigation System Municipal Class EA Preferred Solution Presentation be received, endorsed and actioned.

THAT Council goes into Closed Session at 1:16 p.m. to discuss advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose in accordance with Section 239(2)(f) of the Municipal Act, 2001.

THAT we receive the confidential correspondence from solicitor John Ewart regarding legislative authority pertaining to the Municipal Act, Code of Conduct, procedure bylaw and Council/staff relations policy; AND THAT we receive the verbal update from CAO Dunn regarding the Township social medial policy; AND THAT all members of Council abide by the Township's social media policy specifically section 4.2 pertaining to the personal use of social medial by Council and employees.

THAT Bylaw 2024.59, a bylaw to confirm the proceedings of the Special Council meeting held on the 12th day of August 2024, be considered read a first, second and third time and finally passed.

THAT we now adjourn at 2:20 p.m. until August 26th, 2024 at 7:00 p.m.
