Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee

THAT we adopt the Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee meeting minutes dated December 15, 2023, as presented.

THAT as directed, staff provide comments from the Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee to the Township of Ramara Planning Department with respect to 6472 Rama Road proposed site plan.

THAT we receive Report CD-17-24 for information; AND THAT we meet on July 12th via Zoom to consider projects to apply for the Enabling Accessibility Fund - 2024.

THAT staff provide a list of accessibility grants available including the criteria and the deadlines for applications. AND THAT this list be brought forward to the next Committee meeting.

THAT we go into Closed Session at 10:00 a.m. to discuss matters in accordance with section 239(2)(a) and (3.1) of the Municipal Act.

THAT we rise and report from Closed Session at 12:17 p.m.

THAT we attended the following facilities with respect to accessibility upgrades:  Township of Ramara Administration Building  Brechin Community Centre  Brechin Medical Building  Udney Community Hall  Ramara Recreation Centre  Longford Mills Community Hall Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee Minutes June 21, 2024 Page 2 of 3 THAT staff and the AODA Consultant from OSG Inc. provided education with respect to a history of the buildings and education on AODA standards that must be met by 2025. THAT the AODA Consultant from OSG Inc. provide a report and present their findings to the committee at the next meeting. THAT the Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee meet on July 12th to receive reports from this tour for budget and grant application purposes.
