Economic Development Committee

THAT we adopt the Ramara Economic Development Committee Meeting amended Minutes dated January 18, 2024.

THAT the Committee approves the Memo regarding 2024 and 2025 Economic Development meeting dates as presented. AND THAT the Committee meets on the opposite fourth Thursday of every other month from the County of Simcoe's Regional meetings. AND THAT the Committee starts the new schedule in 2025; AND THAT the meeting will commence at 9:30 a.m.

THAT the Budgets to Actuals to August 31, 2024 be received as information.

THAT the Committee approves the Memo regarding St. Andrew's artwork initiative as presented; AND THAT we recommend Council approves the St. Andrew's artwork initiative at a cost of $10,000 for the 2025 Budget.

THAT the Committee approves the Memo regarding the County of Simcoe Employment Survey Pilot Project as presented; AND THAT we recommend Council approves the County of Simcoe Employment Survey Pilot Project at a cost of $25,000 to the 2025 Budget.

That report AD-19-24 be received for information; AND THAT staff complete a 2018-2022 Economic Development Update, to be presented at the November 28, 2024 Committee meeting; AND THAT the Economic Development Committee approve to budget $40,000 for the completion of an Economic Development Strategy in 2025; AND THAT Oosterbann Strategy be engaged to undertake in the development of the 2025 Economic Development Strategy.

THAT we adopt the 2025 Economic Development Budget as presented with the following amendments:  Addition of $10,000 for St. Andrew Hall's Art Initiative  Addition of $40,000 for the Economic Development Strategy  Addition of $25,000 for the Employment Survey Pilot Project

THAT staff investigate the possibility of hosting a Teeny Tiny Submit in the future.
